Product Description:

The PROSOFT MVI56-MCM is a communication module designed for Allen-Bradley ControlLogix processors. It acts as an interface between the ControlLogix backplane and Modbus RTU/ASCII networks. This module allows the ControlLogix PLC to communicate with other Modbus-compatible devices, functioning as either a Modbus Master, a Modbus Slave, or both simultaneously on its two independent serial ports. It enables seamless data exchange between the Modbus network and the ControlLogix controller, making Modbus data appear as local I/O data to the processor. The module is configurable via RSLogix 5000 software and supports various Modbus function codes. It is suitable for applications like data concentration, material processing, and SCADA communications.
