WOODWARD 9907-164
Product Description
The WOODWARD 9907 – 164 is a sophisticated digital microprocessor – based controller module. It is an integral part of the 505 and 505E microprocessor – based governor control units, specifically engineered for steam turbines equipped with single or split – range actuators.

This module is designed to precisely control steam turbines. It manages the operation of single extraction and/or the admission for the turbine. By leveraging the turbine’s split – stage actuators (either one or both), it effectively drives the inlet valves for steam. The module is highly adaptable as it can be configured on – site by operators. Its menu – driven software is controlled and modified through the operator control panel on the front of the device. This panel features a two – line text display with 24 characters per line, enabling easy interaction.
Equipped with a diverse set of inputs, it includes 16 contact inputs (4 dedicated and 12 programmable) and 6 programmable current inputs ranging from 4 to 20 mA. This allows it to interface with a wide range of sensors and external devices, gathering data about the system’s state. Based on the input signals and programmed instructions, the module generates output signals to control actuators, motors, valves, and other components within the steam turbine system.
WOODWARD, the manufacturer, has a long – standing reputation in the industrial field since its establishment in 1870. The 9907 – 164 module embodies the company’s expertise, offering reliable performance in industrial control systems across various sectors such as manufacturing, chemical processing, and power generation.
