The ABB AO2000 – LS25 is a laser gas analyzer module designed for the continuous measurement of the concentration of individual components in a gas mix1. It operates based on the principle of single – line spectroscopy2. A single absorption line is selected from the gas to be measured in the near – infrared spectral range, where there is no cross – sensitivity from other gases2. The laser scans this absorption line, and the receiver on the opposite side detects the absorption effect caused by the sample gas to calculate the gas concentration2.

This module can be combined with other analyzer modules and can be remotely operated in Ethernet networks1. It has ATEX, IECEx, and CSA certificates, which means it is suitable for use in hazardous areas1. It is widely used in emission monitoring, combustion control, and process monitoring and analysis in industries such as the chemical industry, steel and iron manufacture, power industry, and glass manufacture2.
