The ABB HPC800K02 is a redundant controller kit, playing a crucial role in ensuring high – availability and reliable operation within industrial control systems. It comes with a comprehensive set of components, including 2 sets of (HC800, CP800, MB810), 1 set of (CTB810, CTB811), and 4 sets of (TER8x0).
The HC800, as part of this kit, represents a significant addition to the S+ control family. It features modular DIN – rail packaging, which offers flexibility in installation. The system is based on a high – performance, 256 MHz, 32 – bit Freescale Coldfire processor. This powerful processor enables the HC800 to adapt to a wide variety of applications and process requirements. Configured using the S+ engineering tool, it has an extensive library of over 150 pre – defined control algorithms or function codes. These functions empower users to design intricate control strategies suitable for continuous, sequential, batch, and advanced control applications. Besides the standard function blocks, the HC800 also supports C programming, batch operations, and user – defined function codes.
