ABB TU847
The ABB TU847 is a Module Termination Unit (MTU) designed to facilitate redundant configurations for the CI840 and CI840A field communication interface modules within ABB’s S800 I/O system and Freelance control systems. It is a passive unit that provides the necessary connections for power supply, the electrical ModuleBus, and two CI840/CI840A modules. The TU847 also features two rotary switches for setting the station address (0 to 99) and a connector for an optional ModuleBus Optical Port (TB842, connected via TB806). Mechanical keying prevents the insertion of incorrect module types. The unit is designed for DIN rail mounting and includes a latching device for secure attachment and grounding.
