Product Description:
The FOXBORO FBM204 is an I/O (Input/Output) module designed for the Foxboro I/A Series Distributed Control System (DCS). This module provides four isolated analog input channels and four isolated analog output channels, all operating in the 0 to 20 mA DC range. It serves as an interface between field devices (such as 4-20 mA transmitters and self-powered 20 mA sources for inputs, and actuators for outputs) and the fieldbus network. The FBM204 performs the necessary signal conversion and communicates with the control processor over the optionally redundant fieldbus. It is also electrically compatible with standard HART signals. The module is designed with a rugged enclosure suitable for harsh industrial environments (Class G3).
