Product Description
The NI USB – 8476 is a single – port LIN (Local Interconnect Network) interface device developed by National Instruments. Its primary function is to establish a connection between personal computers (PCs) and LIN networks or devices. This module is widely used in various applications, such as in – vehicle network monitoring and logging, where it helps in gathering data from LIN – based sensors and actuators within a vehicle’s electrical system.

It comes equipped with an ATA 6620 LIN transceiver from Atmel, ensuring seamless communication within LIN networks. The device is fully compliant with J2602, LIN 1.3, and LIN 2.0 specifications, making it suitable for a broad range of industrial and automotive applications that adhere to these standards.
The NI USB – 8476 features a convenient all – in – one design. It has a captive 2 – m USB cable, which simplifies the connection process to a host PC, and a built – in transceiver, eliminating the need for additional cables or accessories to start using it in applications. This design not only saves space but also reduces the complexity of the setup.
