The ABB PFTL 101A – 2.0kN is a high – precision pressductor pillow – block – type weighing sensor and tension sensor. It is designed to accurately measure the tension of strips or wires1.
This sensor operates based on the magneto – elastic effect7. When a mechanical force is applied, the sensor generates a measurement signal according to the change in the magnetic field7. Since these signals do not rely on physical movement or deformation, the weighing sensor combines high sensitivity with excellent tolerance to overloads and has almost no built – in limit on the number of load cycles7.
