The Triconex 3005 is a Main Processor (MP) module designed for use in EcoStruxure Triconex Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), specifically for systems running version 9.6 or later. As a critical component of the highly reliable and fault-tolerant Triconex architecture, it utilizes Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR), requiring three such modules in the main chassis for operation. The Main Processor is responsible for communicating with the I/O subsystem and executing the user-written safety control program. It plays a vital role in ensuring continuous, error-free, and safe operation in critical industrial processes. The 3005 model offers 2 MB of SRAM.
