WOODWARD 8200-1302

WOODWARD 8200 – 1302 Digital Governor Turbine Control

Product Description

The WOODWARD 8200 – 1302 is a digital governor turbine control module designed for steam turbines4. It is part of the 505D digital governor turbine control series5.

This module features an integrated graphical front – panel HMI, providing an intuitive operation interface and keyboard for operators to easily adjust turbine parameters and communicate with the turbine5. It has a variety of functions, including automatic start – up sequencing for hot and cold starts, critical speed avoidance with temperature input options and three – speed segments, ten external alarm inputs and ten external DI trip inputs, etc5. In addition, it includes trip indication for trip and alarm events with relevant RTC timestamps, dual – speed and load dynamics, and other functions5. The module also has a redundant design, including two redundant speed inputs that can accept magnetic pickup units, eddy – current probes, or proximity probes, improving system reliability and stability5. Moreover, it offers three normal operation modes: configuration mode, operation mode, and calibration mode, allowing operators to switch between different modes according to needs to meet different control requirements5.
