The Woodward 9907-164 is a digital microprocessor-based governor control unit belonging to the 505 and 505E series, designed specifically for controlling steam turbines, as well as turbogenerators and turboexpander modules. It can control the turbine by operating a single extraction and/or the admission using the turbine’s split-stage actuators (one or both).
